Now you should be ready to start learning how to solve the rubix cube, If you haven't read my other page "The Basics" I highly Recomend you do otherwise you won't understand this page. There are stages In order to complete the cube the "Green Cross" is the first one.

Green Cross

The Green Cross is the First step to solving your Rubix Cube when you have finished the Green Cross your Rubix Cube should look like this...

Firstly you need to find the green side so basicly look for the face with green
as the Middle Cube. Then make the Green cross by finding the Green Cubes
(Won't Be at the Corners) and moving them to make the Cross on top. After
Completing the Cross It's time to solve the cross ; what I mean by that is getting the the middle of the Adjacent sides lined up like in the Picture.

Turn the Green Face 90 degrees Clockwise until at least one of the Adjacent Sides Match. Then have your Cube so that one of the non-matching sides are facing you then turn the Front face 180 degrees and then the bottom face 90 degrees clock wise until the non-matching face is in line with where it is supposed to be but still not Adjacent to the Green Cross. Turn the Face with the non-matching side 180 degrees and repeat until all of the Faces are like in the picture.

Green Corners

Now It's time to solve the Green Face and the First Layer just by solving the Green Corners. When you have finished it should look like this...

First find a face where the top right corner is unsolved and isn't Adjacent to the same colours keep that face facing you. Then look if in the downward line with the
unsolved corner see if there is a cube with a square with a green sticker on it if there
Is look if it has the stickers with the colours of the front and right face aswell. If it does skip the next sentence. If not turn the bottom 90 degrees any way again and
again until you find the right cube. Then It's time to do the first Alogorithm, repeat the Algorithm
"Ri, Di, R, D" until the cube is where it is supposed to be. Repeat doing this until all of the Green Corners are
Solved.

2nd Layer

Now It's time to solve the second layer. First you need to turn your rubix cube so that the Green Face is on the Bottom. When you have completed this stage it should look like this...

Look at the top layer and see if a there is a cube in the middle of it that doesn't
have any Blue stickers on it. If there isn't skip the next sentence until you see the Algorithms, do either one. So now you've found a cube without a Blue sticker on
, now turn the top face 90 degrees until it matches a side by being in a straight line
with the same colour below then look at the top of the cube and see what the colour is. If the colour is the same as the face to the left do the Algorithm "Ui, Li, U, L, U, F, Ui, Fi". If the colour is the same as the face to the right do the Algorithm "U R Ui Ri Ui Fi U F"
Do this until the second layer is solved like in the picture.
Blue Cross

First to make the Blue Cross. You need to have the cube so its like this... The backwards L shape is important you need to have it so that the Front face is where the Red Face is just like in the picture. If you have it like that already skip this sentence, So if you don't have it with the Blue Face at the top use the Algorithm "F, R, U, Ri, Ui Fi" once. Now you have the backwords L shape use the Algorithm "F, R, U, Ri, Ui, Fi" until you achieve the blue cross which should look like this...
Solve Top Edges

Your almost there so don't give up, It's time to solve the Edges and after that only the corners will be left.
If you already have two adjacent faces where the middle cube of there top lines are solved than skip the rest of this sentence, You should have at least one Face where the middle cube of the top is solved so make that face the Front of the cube and use the Algorithm "R, U, Ri, U, R, U2, Ri". Now have your cube so that the Front has one of the Faces to the Right and the other one to the Right of that one. Then use the Algorithm "R, U, Ri, U, R, U2, Ri". After that turn the top face 90 degrees any way until you have solved the Top Edges.

The Blue Corners

You are now on the last stage to completing the Rubix Cube, now all that is left is the Blue Corners. Look around the Top layer and see if a Blue corner cube has the colours of the Faces to the right and the left as well. If all of the corners are in the right place skip this sentence, Now with that corner on the top right of the Front Face use the Algorithm "U, R, Ui, Li, U, Ri, Ui, L" until all of the corners are in the right place.

The final Algorithm-Look around the cube to find a corner that is in the right place but not solved, have that corner in the top right and repeat the Algorithm "Ri, Di, R, D" until the corner is solved then with that face still the Front of the cube turn the top face 90 degrees clockwise until you get to the next unsolved corner and repeat until all the corners are complete then all you have to do is turn the top face 90 degrees until the Rubix Cube is complete.

Now You Have Finally Completed The Rubix Cube!

Basics of Solving the Rubic Cube

To start with the Rubix Cube has got an actual way of being solved. The way to solve it is by using "Algorithms". It may sound so complicated but really it's not. It's just a mathematical way of turning the faces and repeting until the cubes are where you want them-Simple! There is a way of telling you what the "Algorithms" are and this is how you do it ...If i say "F" (Front) it means turn the Face of the Cube facing you Clockwise 90 degrees, "Fi" (Front Inverted) you turn the face facing you 90 degrees Anti-Clockwise. "F2" (Front x2) Turn the Front face 90 degrees Clockwise 2 times (180 degrees)."R" (Right) turn the right face 90 degrees Clockwise. "L" (left) turn the left face clockwise. "U" (Up) turn the Top face 90 degrees clockwise. "D" (Down) turn the bottom face 90 degrees clockwise.

To know what face is which colour the mini cube in the middle of a face is what colour the face is supposed to be.
